Pre-Veterinary Program Information
Although not required, the majority of entrants into veterinary school have a Biology degree and show evidence of excellent academic performance, as well as dedication to the profession.  The importance of an excellent GPA and GRE, MCAT, or VCAT score (depending on the Veterinary school) cannot be overemphasized.  It is also essential that potential veterinary school applicants accumulate significant veterinary-related experiences through internships and volunteer work prior to applying.  Students interested in pursuing a career in medicine should contact the SPSU pre-professional advisor as soon as possible.
