Pre-Medical Program Information
Although not required, the majority of entrants into medical school have a Biology degree and show evidence of excellent academic performance, as well as dedication to the profession.  The importance of an excellent GPA and MCAT score cannot be overemphasized.  It is also essential that potential medical school applicants accumulate significant health-related experiences through internships and volunteer work prior to applying.  Students interested in pursuing a career in medicine should contact the SPSU pre-professional advisor as soon as possible.
