The science of biology is changing rapidly and dramatically.  Biological problems that were previously handled only at the descriptive level are now being solved at the molecular level. The future of biology will see an ever-increasing emphasis on the characterization of biological systems in molecular terms.  The Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Southern Polytechnic State University is designed to prepare students to meet this challenge.
